Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been deeply passionate about animals. At the age of 8 or 9, I would create “business cards” to offer dog-walking services to my neighbors. As I progressed through high school, I held various jobs, but it was during my time at a doggy daycare that I realized my true calling lay in working with animals. 

I grew up with my childhood dog, Nicky, who was not just a pet but a cherished member of our family. Having Nicky by my side for 17 years taught me invaluable lessons about love, patience, and compassion, especially as he grew older.

After graduating from high school, I initially pursued a degree in nursing, driven by my nurturing and helping nature. During my college years, I started my own dog walking and dog sitting gig, which quickly grew into a full-time commitment. This experience solidified my profound love for working with dogs and animals, leading me to explore various avenues within the pet care industry.

During college, I met my partner, Jordanny, who not only supported and embraced my change of plans to pursue dog grooming instead, but also wanted to be a part of my journey. With the incredible support of my partner and my amazing parents, who also played a crucial role in making FurEver Zen possible, we made my dream become a reality. Together, we share a deep love for dogs and animals. 

Over the years, I continued to educate myself, learning from experienced groomers and expanding my knowledge to provide the best grooming services possible. What began as a job evolved into a deep-seated passion. I found joy in not only enhancing a dog’s appearance but also in providing comfort and care, especially for anxious, senior, or timid dogs.

I wanted to incorporate Nicky into my logo as a way of honoring him and making him a part of FurEver Zen forever. My patience for senior dogs, in particular, stems from caring for Nicky as he got older. This experience taught me the importance of providing gentle and loving care, especially to senior dogs who deserve extra attention and understanding.

This passion and dedication led us to realize our dream of opening our own dog grooming salon, “FurEver Zen.” Our mission is to prioritize the comfort and well-being of every dog that walks through our doors. We strive to create a soothing and enjoyable grooming experience, ensuring that each dog feels cared for and loved, just like family.
